Welcome to the LynuxWorks™ download page. LynuxWorks' BlueCat®-ME is a port of the 2.6 kernel to the Xilinx® MicroBlaze™ processor.

Getting started with Linux® for MicroBlaze is easy as BlueCat-ME utilizes a seamless integration with the Xilinx EDK and has out-of-the-box support for the Xilinx Spartan board.

Prior to installing, the patches require the Linux kernel source tree be downloaded to the development host from a public domain such as kernel.org.

Also it is assumed that the kernel should be built using the MicroBlaze and/or PPC toolchain available in the Xilinx EDK, which implies that the Xilinx ISE/EDK products are installed on the development host.

Certain versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer may incorrectly rename your downloaded file. Gzipped files may get renamed as .tar files. This is a known bug in the Windows XP operating system.
