Luminosity's build and navigation tools allow the developer to efficiently manage the project environment. Build menus include options to build individual files or the entire project. Environment options allow the developer to set compiler and linker options as well as the target environment to be built.
Select the New Project Wizard to easily create a project-coding framework (C, C++), and use the SystemViewer to quickly view all process and thread activity taking place on the target. A project can be quickly created from a variety of code templates based on POSIX, X11, or device drivers, or a user can create an empty project and import existing code.
Luminosity supports LynuxWorks C/C++ projects for users who want to directly edit/manage their makefiles. LynuxWorks' Managed Make C/C++ Project support is also provided for users who want Luminosity to manage the makefiles automatically. Developers can use the Luminosity Kernel Wizard to create C projects to build the LynxOS and LynxOS-SE kernel.
For each configuration, users can set initial flags for use by the build procedure. These
flags are written into the Makefile.flags file located in the project directory. Users can
change the contents of the Makefile.flags file by clicking the Edit button, which invokes
the Edit Configuration dialog. During development, users can change the Makefile.flags file
contents by opening it in the editor.
