DC-BGP is a full source code implementation of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for OEMs building next generation BGP devices, with flexible integration interfaces and pre-integrated control plane solutions for packet and optical network devices.
DC-BGP is part of Metaswitch Networks' suite of MPLS, IP Routing, VPN and VoIP protocol software, and has been designed for the demanding scalabilty and reliability requirements of modern networks.
DC-BGP is massively scalable and has been independently tested to be able to support huge numbers of peers, routes and Virtual Routing and Forwarding Tables (VRFs). Processing can be distributed across multiple cards, and computationally intensive routing calculations paused to schedule other processing.
DC-BGP is integrated with Metaswitch Networks' high availability framework, and provides redundancy and high availability with uninterrupted packet forwarding across hardware or software failures.
