VIENNA, Austria and SAN JOSÉ, Calif., Feb. 15, 2006—TTTech and LynuxWorks™ today announced a partnership to offer customers integrated solutions based on the deterministic TTP® communication bus and the LynxOS® DO-178B certified RTOS.
A new TTTech development board for hardware-in-the-loop simulation of aerospace test equipment, which supports simulation of a whole distributed network for aerospace applications with hard real-time requirements, will be the first project to benefit from the partnership.
The TTTech TTP (Time-Triggered Protocol) bus is a bi-directional, partitioned and fault tolerant databus that offers deterministic performance up to 25Mbps. LynuxWorks LynxOS-178 features DO-178B level A-certification, partitioning, POSIX compliance, and ARINC 653 APplication EXecutive (APEX) support. Both address very directly the stability and standards compliance expectations of military and aerospace system developers seeking to build safety-critical, certifiable applications.
"By linking TTTech's products with the powerful and widely tested operating system LynxOS, end-users from aerospace industry will benefit from the easy integration for safety- and mission-critical embedded applications," commented Kurt Doppelbauer, director of sales aerospace at TTTech. "LynxOS-178 and TTP are proven live flight systems, and this partnership was driven by customer demand for a complete solution from two best-in-class vendors."
"Together we offer a partitioned operating system and a partitioned communication platform that allows easy and deterministic communication between modules," commented Robert Day, vice president of marketing at LynuxWorks. "The technology partnership offers end-users from aerospace industry easy and fast integration for safety- and mission-critical embedded applications."
