LynuxWorks CEO and Chairman Appointed to San José Mayor's Economic Leadership Team
SAN JOSÉ, Calif., November 17, 2003—LynuxWorks™ Inc. CEO and Chairman, Dr. Inder Singh, has been appointed to San José Mayor Ron Gonzales. Economic Leadership Team. Dr. Singh will join other prominent Silicon Valley business leaders in providing economic development strategies for the City.
"I am excited to join such a creative and talented group of individuals on the Economic Leadership Team," said Dr. Singh. "I look forward to working together with other members of the team in an effort to fortify San José's economy and invigorate the local business environment."
Mayor Gonzales introduced the idea of his Economic Leadership team in September as part of his recommendations for economic recovery in San José. The team's role is to provide ideas and feedback to improve the business climate, create jobs and remain an economically competitive community.
"I am confident that the members of the Economic Leadership Team will provide valuable advice that will benefit our economy and strengthen our business climate," said the Mayor. "This team is one of many steps we are taking to improve and support local businesses."
Team members have already begun meeting to review economic strategies for San José. The team will serve as a continuing source of expertise, feedback and guidance to the City and the mayor. Mayor Gonzales expects the group to meet at least twice a year.
