Embedded software leader to demo broadcast-quality robotic camera and new identification system for homeland security; powered by LynxOS
At the 2003 Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco, Calif., April 23-25, LynuxWorks™ will compete as a "Best of Show" finalist for its demonstration of Skycam®, a broadcast quality, robotic camera used at sporting events and powered by LynuxWorks' hard real-time operating system, LynxOS®. A prestigious panel of judges, including Lindsey Vereen, editorial director, Embedded Systems Programming, Jim Turley, microprocessor analyst and editor of Silicon-Insider, Daya Nadamuni, principal analyst, Gartner Dataquest, Larry Mittag, contributing editor, Embedded Systems Programming, and Bernie Cole, managing editor, EE Times, selected the finalists from a total of 30 entries. The Best of Show winner will be announced at booth #238 at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23.
In addition to Skycam, LynuxWorks will also demonstrate a new advanced biometric security solution powered by LynxOS for law enforcement, government and commercial markets. Along with the company's product demonstrations at the Embedded Systems Conference, LynuxWorks will introduce two enhanced development tools leveraging easy-to-use visual development environment and any-time visibility into program execution, as well announce a new certifiable software technology for safety-critical systems and devices.
The Embedded Systems Conference will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. LynuxWorks will be located in booth #1526 during show floor hours April 23-25.
