A new alliance network to assist in development of products and services integrated with LynuxWorks technology
SAN JOSÉ, Calif.—February 5, 2001—LynuxWorks™, Inc., a provider of open source and true real-time embedded solutions for the post-PC era, today announced SynergyWorks™, a program for third-party solution providers working with LynuxWorks technology and services.
SynergyWorks is an enhanced version that replaces the previous program, SynergyPartners. The SynergyWorks alliance program brings several new marketing and engineering initiatives to the participating members. This new program is expected to deliver more customer-specific applications and provide a new focus on vertical market solutions.
SynergyWorks is designed to assist in the development and distribution of systems and services compatible, or integrated with, the LynuxWorks family of products, including the Linux-compatible LynxOS® real time operating system and the open source BlueCat™ Linux. SynergyWorks members have access to the LynxOS and BlueCat open development environments, technology licenses, certification programs and technical support. Alliance members ensure that their products are compatible with LynuxWorks products, while participating in joint marketing and sales opportunities.
SynergyWorks alliance members are categorized at three levels: Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond. Sapphire members demonstrate a basic commitment to LynuxWorks technologies and have products and services compatible, but not necessarily integrated with, LynuxWorks technologies. Emerald members' products and services can be integrated with LynuxWorks products to develop combined solutions for customers and increase market penetration. Diamond members share and contribute to the LynuxWorks vision and market strategy. At this last level, members consider LynuxWorks products critical development platforms and participate in executive level planning sessions.
Initial SynergyWorks alliance members include: Apogee Software, Centura Software Corporation, Cetia, FairCom Corporation, Force Computers, GoAhead! Software Inc, Highlander Engineering, Interphase Corp, Metro Link Inc., MindReady Solutions, Inc., M- Systems, NetClue Corporation, NetPlane Systems, Objectivity, Objective Interface Systems, Rappore Technologies, Real Time Innovations, Sabtech Industries, Swell Software, Systran Corporation, TimesTen Performance Software, Trillium Digital Systems, Inc.
