Mindready and LynuxWorks Announce Partnership to port IEEE-1394 Sednet Product line to LynxOS

TOULOUSE, France—Sept 12, 2000—Mindready Solutions Inc. and LynuxWorks™, Inc. today announced at the International Avionics Exhibition a technology partnership to port Mindready SedNet™ IEEE-1394 compatible high-speed serial bus for real-time communications to the LynuxWorks' LynxOS® real-time operating system (RTOS).

Mindready, a pioneer in developing high-speed, real-time communication solutions for the industrial embedded market, launched SedNet, the IEEE-1394-based customizable communication API solution.

The UNIX®-compatible LynxOS RTOS conforms to the POSIX® 1003.1 system call interface standard and has been implemented according to the POSIX 1003.1b real-time extensions and 1003.1c threads extensions. LynxOS includes the 4.4 BSD system call interfaces and libraries, which provide a high degree of source-level compatibility for applications written in either language of UNIX.
