LynuxWorks and TimeSys Team up to Enhance Tool Support for LynxOS

Advanced real-time visualization and measurement tool for LynxOS

SAN JOSÉ, Calif., May 8, 2000—LynuxWorks, Inc., formerly Lynx Real-Time Systems, Inc., today announced support for TimeSys Corporation's TimeTrace™ tool for the LynxOS® real-time operating system (RTOS).

TimeTrace for LynxOS, available from TimeSys Corporation for the PowerPC and x86 platforms, allows visualization and measurement of real-time applications threads within LynxOS. LynxOS, is a Linux/UNIX®-compatible, POSIX®-conformant real-time operating system for embedded applications and is part of the LynuxWorks product family.

LynxOS developers, designing hard real-time applications, use real-time performance data from TimeTrace in TimeWiz®, also from TimeSys Corporation to bring system modeling and analysis, through the Rate-Monotonic Analysis framework. The timing analysis capabilities of TimeWiz are particularly applicable to real-time, safety-critical embedded systems.
