Lynx Announces a new low Price for BlueCat Linux 1.0

SAN JOSÉ, Calif., March 13, 2000—Lynx Real-Time Systems, Inc., today announced a new low price for the BlueCat™ Linux 1.0 Development Kit.

"We believe that our aggressive price point and the industry's leading capabilities of Lynx' Lynx architecture make BlueCat Linux a compelling choice for embedded developers," said Bill Hogan, president of Lynx. "We want everyone contemplating the development of embedded Linux systems to consider, evaluate and adopt BlueCat Linux as their development and deployment platform." The package includes the BlueCat 1.0 development environment and Linux open source, a BlueCat 1.0 Users Guide and 30-days installation support. Future releases for support of additional platforms will be announced next quarter.

BlueCat 1.0 support

The 30 days of installation support included with the purchase of BlueCat 1.0 is defined as assistance with the installation and configuration of BlueCat Linux on the development (host) system.

Customers requiring more comprehensive support can subscribe to Lynx' Incident Support Package for 10 incidents requiring support or the Priority Support Package for team development. Lynx also offers 24/7 and long-term 15-year support. All support programs provide customer access to Lynx response centers by telephone, fax and e-mail with initial call-back within four hours on the lowest level of support to immediate response on priority packages.
