More than 20 hardware/software vendors to endorse strategic effort
SAN JOSÉ, Calif.—November 29, 1999—Lynx Real-Time Systems, Inc., today announced endorsements from more than 20 hardware and software vendors in the Linux and embedded computing industry, including Hewlett-Packard and Motorola. Many of the companies are partnering with Lynx to announce the availability of their products on BlueCat, Lynx' embedded Linux product.
"These companies offer the critical additional pieces needed to build highly reliable systems based on the Lynx family of operating system products," said Bill Hogan, president and CEO of Lynx. "Their endorsements demonstrate our combined commitment to Linux in the embedded space."

To support the initiative Lynx is now providing a Linux development environment as well as technical support, consulting and training services for Linux developers working in embedded applications. Lynx will also deliver a version of Linux for embedded applications, and binary compatibility between Linux and the LynxOS operating system in the coming year.
