Embedded software leader extends influence in PCI industry
SAN JOSÉ, Calif.—October 4, 1999—Lynx Real-Time Systems, Inc., today announced it has become an associate member of the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG®), a consortium of more than 500 companies collaborating on specifications to adapt PCI technology for use in industrial and telecommunications computing applications.

PICMG was founded in May, 1994 as a consortium of industrial computer product vendors, with the mission of developing specifications for PCI-based systems and boards to be used in industrial and telecommunications applications. PICMG also conducts periodic product compatibility workshops for its membership. PICMG members now number more than 500 companies worldwide, at three membership levels: Executive, Associate, and Affiliate.
