The VPCS926 Virtual Platform is a high-performance software emulator that models the LSI Logic ARM926EJ-S Processor System on BlueCat® Linux® 4.1 from the System CoreWare™ library.

The ARM926EJ-S Processor System is a fully integrated, general purpose subsystem built from existing LSI Logic CoreWare IP blocks. Customers can extend the VPCS926 to include their additional logic and develop application software before their custom SoC arrives.

VPCS926 powers dramatic gains in developer productivity by integrating with the software developer's preferred development environment, delivering a complete desktop development environment for application, middleware, operating system and driver development. The VPCS926 integrates with software developer's development tools of choice including Metrowerks CodeWarrior™ for ARM®, and ARM Development Suite (ADS) and RealView™, and more.

VPCS926 Virtual Platform enables LSI Logic to offer a complete system solution to customers, including both hardware IP and pre-ported OSs prior to silicon availability, avoiding the typical sequential software integration paradigm and improving RapidChip customers' time to market.
