The PowerEngine CVME 603e is based on the PowerPC® 603e processor, providing performance in excess of 5,1 SPECint 95 and 3,7 SPECfp 95. It provides an original open architecture that is fully compliant with the PowerPC Reference Platform (PReP) recommendation. Because it occupies a single VME slot, the PowerEngine CVME 603e is an ideal solution for building cost-effective and scalable embedded systems with access to all the features required for both real-time and UNIX® VME targets.

CVME 603e is an attractive solution for communications, image and signal processing, C3I and R&D applications that are sensitive to price, and yet which require reliable performance and flexible I/O.
The CVME 603e provides a versatile platform with 6U VME footprint, an ideal format to build upgradable embedded systems including real-time workstations. In addition, the VME interface can be deleted for cost-sensitive applications where the VME capability isn't needed.
For systems intended to be deployed in harsh environments, the PowerEngine CVME 603e is available with the Ruggedizer, a laser-matched add-on thermal drain that extends the board's overall operating range and mechanical strength.
