The Ocelot-C is a low-power, CompactPCI form factor single-board MIPS computer that is designed for high performance applications.

The board supports the PMC-Sierra RM7900 MIPS RISC processor. The board has two Gigabit Ethernet (copper) ports implementing PICMG 2.16, as well as two Ultra160 SCSI interfaces (Ultra320 optional), two serial ports, and a standard PMC slot.

The Ocelot-C autosenses and operates as a CompactPCI system slot or non-system slot. It occupies a single slot in a standard CompactPCI chassis and is hot swappable.

  • PMON boot firmware

Memory and storage

  • 256 Mbytes DDR SDRAM (with ECC)
  • 512 KBytes of boot Flash memory
  • 32 KBytes of NVRAM and real-time clock
  • 8 MBytes of user Flash memory

Versatile I/O on main board

  • Two Gigabit ethernet ports (10/100/1000BaseT) implement PICMG 2.16 (standard for ethernet across the back plane)
  • Dual Ultra160 SCSI (LSI53C1010R/LSI53C1030) routed to compact PCI connector J5. Ultra320 SCSI optional
  • PMC slot, single width (IEEE P1386 / P1386.1)
  • Two RS-232 communication ports. One port interfaces to front panel RJ-11 connector and both ports interface to compact PCI connector J3
  • 8 bits of general purpose I/O (GPIO) interface to compact PCI connector J3
