The MAPLE-D Extended ATX single-board computer is a full-featured development system that offers a higher level of computing power for PowerPC® users.

The MAPLE-D has incorporated IBM's 970FX processor, a 64-bit implementation of the PowerPC family. The dual 970FX PowerPC architecture is connected to the system with IBM's CPC925 North Bridge. The North Bridge accommodates functions such as CPU bus interface/management, DDR memory bus control, PCI/AGP, and HyperTransport. The HyperTransport infrastructure provides chip-to-chip interconnect and allows additional peripheral I/O to be integrated into the design. The MAPLE's Extended ATX form factor (13 x 12 inches) allows deployment with industry standard chassis and enclosures.
