The Intel® IQ80321 development kit provides a cost-effective platform for rapid intelligent I/O software development. The kit features a complete set of software development and comprehensive documentation. The Intel IOP321 I/O processor, featuring an Intel XScale® core at 400 and 600 MHz, delivers a combination of high performance, PCIX data throughput, low-power consumption, small package size and outstanding price/performance.

The IQ80321 development kit accelerates development of intelligent network storage solutions designed to benefit from the performance of the highly integrated Intel IOP321 I/O processor based on Intel XScale microarchitecture. The IQ80321 kit is a comprehensive board solution that includes the Intel 82544 Gbit Ethernet controller that supports development of Intelligent Ethernet offload and NAS applications. The kit also enables fast time-to-market development of applications including RAID, network attached storage, and storage area network.

Comprehensive software development support and JTAG support

The Intel IQ80321 kit utilizes the ATI Code|Lab development tools, a single IDE interface to the Red Hat gcc and ARM® compiler technologies, and an an evaluation version of the complete ARM Development Suite. The IQ80321 platform has Mictor connectors for the peripheral bus as well as the PCI-X bus. The JTAG header provides a quick and easy connection to key Intel IOP321 JTAG and debug logic signals.

Secondary PCI bus expansion connector

The Intel IQ80321 platform contains one secondary PCI-X bus expansion connector to provide access to standard PCI & PCI-X I/O adapters.
