The MPC860TFADS is a Family Application Development System (FADS) designed to aid hardware and software developers of the MPC860 PowerQUICC™ Quad Integrated Communications Controller in quickly evaluating and developing applications. The FADS board comprises a motherboard/daughterboard combination.

Using the FADS on-board resources and its associated debugger, developers may download and run code, set breakpoints, display memory and registers, and connect proprietary hardware via the expansion connectors. That code can then be incorporated into a desired system with the MPC860T processor. This board could also be used as a demonstration tool, i.e., application software may be burned into its Flash memory and run in exhibitions.

The MPC860TFADS includes SDRAM and comes populated with an 860T processor.
