The PrPMC600 processor PCI mezzanine card is a complete CPU-memory subsystem on a single-wide PMC. It simplifies design of medium-performance applications, handling the complexity of 250 MHz architectures. The compact, standards-based form factor offers flexibility and quick performance tuning while preserving base design investment. An on-board Ethernet controller further increases the usefulness of this compact macrocomponent.

The PrPMC600 is designed to meet the needs of embedded application developers. Typical applications include industrial automation, telecommunications, or medical, scientific, or imaging products.

• 200 MHz or 250 MHz MPC8240 highly integrated microprocessor: PowerPC 603e® core; 16K/16K L1 cache; memory controller; PCI interface
• 32MB or 64MB ECC SDRAM (66 or 83 MHz bus); up to 256MB with optional memory expansion mezzanine
• 1MB (socketed) and 8MB (surface-mount) Flash memory for user-specified requirements
• Ethernet transceiver interface with 32-bit PCI local bus DMA, 10/100Mb/s with autonegotiate speed select
• Asynchronous serial port
• Four 32-bit programmable timers
• On-board debug monitor with self-test diagnostics
